Principal

Prof. Chandramma, B.A. (Hons.), M.A.

Department of Kannada

Prof. Chandramma is a B.A (Hons) and MA in Kannada literature from Bangalore University. She is also qualified in Hindi Rajya Bhasha Vidwan. She has 25 years of academic experience of which, she has served as a principal of the college since 1992. She has been the member of the university as academic counselor, syndicate member, college development council member and member of board of studies. She is also the life member of Kannada Sahitya Parishad,Gokula Institute of public affairs, Karnataka Arya Vysya Mahila Sabha

Sri Umesh H G is an M.A in kannada and B,.Ed having 9 years of teaching experience of which 5 years has been at school level. He is proficient in Kannada Bhavageethe, drama and folk singing.

Department of English

Prof R. Madhavi is currently working as professor in the Department of English. She has 25 years of teaching experience. She is a trained student counselor having undergone training at NIMHANS, Bangalore. She has delivered lectures on adolescence and parenting in different institutions. She is at present doing her M.S in Counseling and Psychotherapy.

She has rendered services to the University in various capacities while fulfilling examination and syllabus related duties. She has attended many workshops and seminars related to the English department at various forums and organizations. She has participated in the UGC sponsored 5 day work shop on capacity building in senior teachers in higher education. She was also the seminar co-ordinator for the state level seminar on “Empowerment of Women – Challenges Ahead” conducted on 13&14 February 2009 in the institution.

Department of Commerce

	Dr Rekha H G is an M. Com and Ph. D from Bangalore University and MBA from Adam Smith University, USA. She is currently the Head of the department of Commerce and Placement officer of the college. She has to her credit, 25 years of teaching experience at the under graduate and post graduate level. She is also a trained graphologist. Her doctorate is in the area of “Mergers and amalgamations in Indian Corporate sector”. She has participated in various conferences, seminars and workshops and presented papers at national and state level. She has been a part of the university examinations as chief custodian and paper setter and as member of the Board of Examiners for B.Com and BBM courses. Her area of specialization is Finance and Cost Accounting.
	Prof. Sivakami C K is an M A in Economics from Bangalore University and M.Com from Mysore University. She is currently Associate Professor having 30 years of teaching experience. She has been on the board of examiners for B.Com and set papers in various subjects for the university. She has participated in various conferences and seminars and workshops and presented papers at state level. Her areas of specialization are Banking and Economics
	Dr. Usha Devi.N is currently working as a Associate Professor. She has 22 years of teaching experience at UG level. She did her Ph.D. in “Practice of TQM in Manufacturing Companies in India- An empirical study.” She has visited South Korea to present her thesis in an International Conference, organized by AHRD. She has authored 2 text books viz., Income tax law and practice and Service Management for BCOM and BBM course. She has presented number of Research papers in National and International Conference. She has published 25 articles in leading journals. She has successfully guided 15 MPHIL students. Presently she is guiding 6 PHD students and 4 MPHIL students. She has delivered a number of guest lectures and also chaired a few technical sessions in the State/International conferences/seminars. She is an active member of Bharatiya Shiksha Mandal, National HRD Network and Seva Bharathi. She was also a member of Board of examiners (BOE) and Board of Studies (BOS) for BCOM and BBM course and also worked as Chief Custodian for BBM valuation unit. Her specialization is Human Resource Management, Taxation and Total Quality Management.
	Prof. Nagalakshmi is an M.Com from Sri Venkateshwara University, Andhra Pradesh. She has 21 years of teaching experience in our college. Her areas of specialization are costing and taxation. She has attended various seminars and workshops at state and national level. She has been involved in the university examinations as custodian and deputy custodian for 5 consecutive terms. She is currently working as Associate Professor and is in charge of Students Cultural, Literary and Sports Association. Her areas of specialization are Taxation and Financial Accounting.
	Prof. Bhavani is an M.Com graduate from Bangalore University, and PGDIM, PGDMM and MBA from IGNOU and has submitted her Ph D thesis on the topic entitled “Impact of Supplier Relations on the Supply Chain performance metrics- A study of the Automobile industry in India” from Bangalore University and awaiting viva-voce. She is also trained in Basics in computers MS Office, at STG, Bangalore. Training on HR processes at HR house, Bangalore, Training on “Personality Development” at Leaders Academy for Personal Success, Bangalore. Training on “Six sigma (Black Belt) course at ISI, Bangalore. She is working as Associate Professor in Commerce since the year 1989. She has 20 years of teaching experience to her credit. She has participated and presented papers in various national and international conferences in the area of supply chain management and knowledge management and higher education issues. Her areas of specialization are Human resource management, Marketing and Supply Chain Management and SQC.
	Ms. Mamatha.M is currently working as Assistant Professor. She is alumni of our Institution. She has been awarded Gold Medal in M.Com from St. Josephs College affiliated to Bangalore University. She has teaching experience of one year in Vishveswaraya First Grade College HAL Bangalore, two years experience in Mariyappa Education Institution, Rajajinagar, Bangalore and three years experience inour Institution.. She did her M.Phil in “Motivation of women entrepreneurs in and around Bangalore” She has presented research based papers in National and international conference. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in “Human Capital Management Audit and its impact on organization performance –A study with reference to select companies in Bangalore city.” Her area of specialization is Human resource management
	Mrs. Sujatha A. M.is an MBA graduate, currently working as Assistant Professor. She was awarded 8th Rank in MBA from Karnataka State Open University. She has teaching experience of three years. She is the alumni of our Institution. She is currently pursuing her M.Com from KSOU and M.Phil from Global Open University, Nagaland. Her areas of specialization are music and Human resource management.

Department of Sanskrit

Smt. Nalini M K is an MA in Sanskrit and MA in Kannada from Mysore University. She has completed her vidwath in vyakarana. She has pursued her doctorate in Sanskrit literature in the area of “Sthothra Kavya.”and submitted her thesis Entitled an aesthetic study of Srikrishna Leela Tharangini of Sri. Narayana Theertha”. She is currently a visiting faculty of our college.

Department of Physical

Education & Sports

Smt. Rani Sandhu has an M.P Ed degree from Bangalore University. She is pursuing her Ph D in Physical Education. She has 18 years of service with this institution. She has participated in various state, national and international level conferences and seminars and presented papers. She is a selection committee member of Bangalore University in various games and member of selection committee of Karnataka State Net Ball association. She has organized inter- collegiate and state level tournaments in different games. Her area of expertise is football and has represented Karnataka state in foot ball, Archery and hand ball.
