All progressive organizations are an outcome of the dreams, ideas and creativity of its leaders. A group of ladies of the local area got together and began a most ambitious programme of philanthropy. We established Malleswaram Ladies Association in the year 1927, a non-profit organization, and undertook the bold venture of empowering women. Under the aegis of the Association Malleswaram Ladies’ Association First Grade College for Women to deliver Commerce Education, was started in the year 1985. The college is permanently affiliated to Bangalore University.
Empowering women with quality education is the vision of our institution. Towards this end the institution is motivated to work with total commitment to achieve excellence. MLA First Grade College for Women is dedicated to impart futuristic commerce education which is needed to meet the demands of national and global economy and instill ethical values, making the students conceptually stronger and morally binding. To accomplish this and to mould the students to stay abreast with the global demands of a complete and fully fledged personality, they are encouraged to take part in curricular, co-curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities at college, local, national and international levels.
I am sure that the students will find our expansive and environment friendly campus very conducive for acquiring higher knowledge & to achieve their cherished goals. A college is known not by the number of graduates it produces, but by the quality of teaching & learning facilities it offers. Therefore, it is our earnest desire to give rich inputs regarding their subjects of study but also foster in them the important and vital attributes of a civilized human being.
I assure the parents that we will provide their wards with the best faculty, facility, experience and secured stay during the three years of undergraduate course. I wish the students all the very best for their fruitful stay in the college. |
